Policies

These are Tigerfly Massage Therapy’s general policies. For Covid-19 specific policies, please click here.

Appointments

  • Sessions are offered at 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, and 120 minutes. Different times are offered to accommodate client needs and schedules.  Initial visits will require an additional 10-15 minutes of time for consultation and evaluation.

  • Sessions can be scheduled 7 days a week from 9:00am-9:00pm (6:30pm on Mondays and Thursdays) at the Essex Junction location.  On-site residential or business sessions are available upon request and an additional fee will be charged for travel and set up.

  • Sessions are offered by appointment only. Emergency or same-day appointments may be accepted at the discretion of the massage therapist, depending on availability.  Contact for availability. If unavailable, you will be referred to another massage therapist who may be able to cater to your timeframe.

  • Sessions must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance.  Failure to do so will result in a full session charge, which may be waived at the massage therapist’s discretion.

  • Appointments that start late due to client tardiness will shorten the total massage time if another client is scheduled afterward; the full session fee will be charged regardless.

Payment

Payment is expected to be made in a timely manner, typically after the completion of a session. Payment can also be made before the session, or online with a credit card at the time of booking the appointment. Several options are available, including:

  • Cash

  • Check

  • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express)

  • Apple Pay

  • Google Pay

  • Venmo

  • Paypal

Gratuity

While gratuity is appreciated, it is not expected. If you are only able to pay the advertised price, please do not feel pressured to include additional payment.

Draping

At Tigerfly Massage Therapy, you will be draped at all times and only parts of the body that are being worked on will be uncovered. Genitals will never be exposed.

Appropriate Behavior

Sexual behavior either from or toward a massage therapist is unethical and inappropriate.  Sexual misconduct will not be tolerated before, during, or after a session.  If the massage therapist feels that the client has acted inappropriately, the session will be terminated and full payment will still be expected.

If you feel that your massage therapist has acted inappropriately, you have the right to voice your concern either directly to the massage therapist or by contacting the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (Phone: (913) 681-0380; Email: info@fsmtb.org).

Recourse Policy

If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your experience at Tigerfly Massage Therapy, you have the right to a partial refund (50%) if requested within 24 hours of the completed session.  No refunds will be given after this time period.  If the dissatisfaction cannot be resolved with the massage therapist, the client may contact the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (Phone: (913) 681-0380; Email: info@fsmtb.org).
